Gilbert Avenue Ventures is an investment/advisory entity specializing in Sports, Digital Media, Entertainment and consumer products. It houses all of Devin Johnson’s personal investments and advisory engagements.

Devin Johnson is the former President of The SpringHill Company (TSHC), the entertainment media company founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter.

As President of TSHC, Devin had operational and commercial responsibility for UNINTERRUPTED, The Shop and Robot, a NYC based marketing consultancy. An Emmy award winning producer, Devin has produced several shows for Netflix, Amazon Prime, Fox Sports, and Max. He also was responsible for a $100M+ brand partnership business and was the architect for the company’s production function. He joined the company as President of UNINTERRUPTED, where he led the launch and growth of the athlete empowerment brand.

Previously, Devin was the SVP of digital media for Tribune Media ($1B revenue), where he led all digital efforts helping transform a legacy media business into a leading digital player. Prior to that, Devin held several digital executive roles at NBCUniversal where he was instrumental in developing the global company’s digital innovation efforts. Devin began his career in finance, working for media and consumer product companies.

A Chicago native, Devin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Devin serves on the board for Progressive Insurance (Audit, Technology) and Jeni’s Ice Cream.  An avid supporter of sports and youth development, Devin is the former board chair for USA Taekwondo, a former owner of NWSL franchise, Chicago Stars, and currently serves on the University of Michigan Sport Management Advisory board. He has also been a frequent speaker for Duke’s Fuqua School of Business and the Coach K Center on Leadership & Ethics (COLE).
